Breathtaking dive of the Blue Hole - torches at the ready!

This vivid orange star coral is found all around Lanzarote and is pictured here at the entrance to the magnificent Cathedral dive.

This weird and wonderful fire worm was spotted inching his way along inside the Blue Hole at Puerto Del Carmen.

An exciting dive from Mala down to 30m results in sightings of angel sharks, various rays, an elderly moray eel and plenty of fish.  Time for a safety stop before heading back to decompress properly in the bar!!

Walk two minutes from your accommodation, through the quaint lanes, and you'll arrive at the bay of Costa Teguise.  On the beautiful white sandy beach it's great to relax on a sun lounger with an ice cream after an exciting day's diving or walk five minutes to the lagoon for a bit of snorkelling.  In the evening, there's an abundance of restaurants offering something for all tastes, including typical Spanish cuisine, Italian, Chinese, Indian and fresh seafood.  You'll also find a variety of bars with choices ranging from a pint of Guinness to flamboyant, sparkler lit, umbrella topped cocktails! 

Every year (usually around March time), the streets of Costa Teguise are bustling with music and colour as the celebrations of the Grand Carnival Parade get into full swing.  Expect vibrant costumes, live bands, market stalls, mini disco, face painting, bouncy castle and even the annual pet costume competition!

Charlie is a well known grouper who is almost always found in the waters of Puerto Del Carmen, Lanzarote.  He's used to divers and incredibly curious so don't be surprised if he swims right up and says hello!
