Tim Miller - Operations manager

Based at Head Office, Tim has a Bachelors degree in Outdoor Adventure Management and is our go-to man for all things technical. He oversees the processes and business functions that ensure all Freedom Adventures holidays run without a hitch and you’d be hard pushed to find anyone with more focus on customer care and satisfaction. With over ten years of diving under his belt, Tim is also BSAC Dive leader and Assistant Dive Instructor (ADI) qualified and has been known on occasion to vacate the office for a few days to join customers in resort.

James Baker - Resorts manager

You’ll find James at Head Office and also out in resort. With a Bachelors degree in Outdoor Adventure Management, James is our Resorts Manager, dealing with sales and ensuring everyone is in the right place at the right time. James has over fifteen years’ diving experience and is qualified to BSAC Dive leader and Assistant Dive Instructor (ADI) level. James knows all our resorts like the back of his hand and has dived at all our locations, making him the perfect person to give a first-hand account and answer questions about your exciting up-coming holiday.

Helen Miller - Marketing manager

Coming to us from a background in graphics and advertising, Helen joined the Freedom team in early 2010 and manages all marketing and public relations elements of the business. Helen’s expertise in marketing is complemented by her love of diving which was discovered in 2009. Having just finished her PADI Advanced in Thailand, Helen’s looking forward to completing her PADI Rescue Diver training in Lanzarote later this year. As the person responsible for putting us out there, we’re delighted that Helen shares our passion for the underwater world.

Peter Monk - Diving instructor

Having spent the last ten years running our dive school in Lanzarote, no diver has more local dive site knowledge than Pete. He also has the highest qualifications that PADI, BSAC and SSI have to offer and has been recreational and commercial diving for over thirty-five years. He combines top-notch instruction ability with his extensive knowledge and experience of the sport. Pete’s a real character with a welcoming and jovial persona that puts you at ease within a split second and keeps divers coming back year after year.

Andy Stone

Andrew lives, breathes and sleeps diving! With sixteen years’ experience, Andrew passed his BSAC Advanced Instructor Exam (AIE) in 1999 and continues to get in the water at every opportunity, to the point we all wonder how on earth he hasn’t developed gills and fins by now! Along with diving, Andrew’s passion is teaching and helping to cultivate the same passion for diving in his students, which he achieves with success time and time again.  His knowledge of, and love for, the sport and the local area and its dive sites is second to none... his passion is infectious!

Amy Walker - Diving instructor

Qualified as a PADI Speciality Instructor since 2008, Amy is a huge diving enthusiast. She’s been our lead instructor out in Sardinia for three years and as a graduate of Marine Biology, she’ll share with you her extensive knowledge of the marine environment and have you identifying underwater life in no time. From beginner through to advanced, Amy will instruct you expertly through your training and be your underwater guide on the best dives that Sardinia has to offer. Amy also accompanies large groups for the duration of their holiday, regardless of location. 

Tim Gibbons - Diving instructor

With over ten years’ experience diving all over the world, Tim spends his winters skiing and his summers diving (alright for some!). Having completed his PADI Divemaster in Koh Tao, Thailand, in 2002, Tim went on to become a Master Instructor in 2005. This year, Tim is our lead instructor in Malta where he has been diving for three consecutive summers. Whether it’s the Blue Hole, a stunning shore dive just off Gozo’s coast, the spectacularly clear waters around the Cirkewwa Wrek or blue water cave diving in Coral Cave, to name but a few, Tim is the perfect guide.

Ian Hunter - Diving instructor

In 2009, Ian completed his PADI Divemaster training in Lanzarote with Freedom Adventures and went on to become a qualified PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor in early 2010. Inspired by his new-found love for scuba, Ian retired from office life to join the Freedom team. Now in his second year in Egypt as an Open Water Instructor and Recreational Diving Guide, Ian prides himself on his local knowledge. He’ll take you exploring wonders like the famous Thislegorm Wrek and the fast current drift dives that take you on an effortless journey of coral and marine life discovery.
